Parking Changes Coming May 18 Due to MCW Student Housing Construction:
Construction for the new MCW student housing project is moving forward this spring. As part of the site preparation work beginning May 18, there will be some temporary changes to parking through the end of June on the main Milwaukee campus. We want to make sure you have the full picture well in advance.

What to expect
Starting Monday, May 18, the three surface parking lots nearest Watertown Plank Road – East, Center, and West lots – will be closed for construction through the end of June. During this time:

·        243 parking spaces will be temporarily unavailable

·        Access from Watertown Plank Road will be closed

·        All vehicle access will shift to entrances on N. 87th Street

·        The parking structure will remain open throughout construction

Parking remains available
While these changes may disrupt your usual parking routine, parking capacity remains available on campus. On most days, the main MCW parking structure and remaining surface lots and student lot are expected to absorb the temporary loss of spaces. Based on recent usage trends, overall parking demand during this time period has remained below total available capacity..

Additionally, The 9201 Watertown Plank Road parking lot (660 spaces) at the corner of 92nd Street and Watertown Plank Road will be open and available for use. The gate arms will be up, so no badge or permit is needed. This lot is currently underutilized and will serve as a key overflow option during construction. Individuals who work in nearby buildings or who have flexibility in where they park are strongly encouraged to consider this lot to help preserve parking availability closer to main campus facilities.
